Ben heads up the South West and Welsh offices and has been at the sharp end of major communications and media campaigns for more than a decade, working local and national government, developers and politicians in that time.
Adept at simplifying complex detail, Ben recently led a successful consultation on the West of England’s long-term plans for housing and transport, using social media to directly engage local people and help generate more than 1,500 responses in just three months.
During his time at Homes and Communities Agency, Ben managed strategic campaigns in support of some of its most significant projects in the south of England including Bristol’s flagship Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. He has an excellent knowledge of housing policy and key relationships around the south west of England, gained through his work with ministers, local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships and housing sector leaders.
A keen blogger and writer and an expert in digital engagement, Ben is a trained journalist with experience of working in busy newsrooms. He is a fully accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
The most satisfying aspect of the job is seeing the impact of your work. When you see an area benefitting from investment that’s happening as a result of a campaign you’ve been involved in, that’s a great feeling.
